Surveymonkey was a valuable tool in my research.
It allowed me to find out information to essential in making my video and what
directions to take it in. The highest proportion of the interested party are
aged between 18 and 21. There is no differentiation between male and female in
this selection. Other pieces of information I collected included that around
80% of people who answered my survey preferred to see a narrative in the video
rather than seeing just shots of the band, with 66% seeing narrative as
essential within a video. The other research I conducted gve me insight into
what people preferred to see in pop-punk music videos e.g. girls, substance
abuse as well as common exceptions of pop-punk and first thoughts when thinking
about pop-punk.
You have completed some research into similar products. You now need to complete the analysis of ancillary products, and your audience research. It is essential that all research is completed by the start of next term.
